In today’s modern world people have the image of Health and Wellbeing as fitness. The person who is skinny and looks good is not necessarily healthy and fit. There is so much that goes into health and wellness. It’s everything from our food to our activities to our mental health. I think that living a real food lifestyle is much more than just eating real food. It’s about learning to treat our bodies with kindness and respect and finding ways to make our lives simpler, less stressful, and happier! It’s time for all of us to learn to maintain a healthy state of mind. Being aware of mental and physical health makes you healthier in all ways.
We live in a world of busy-ness. Running to and from meetings, calls, appointments, and projects all day long, often with very little attention to the present moment and how we feel. And we often forget about ourselves. And I am not alone. I am certain those reading this can relate.
Remember when we were kids and the sky was the limit?
We could do anything; we didn’t have time constraints, we didn’t have our creativity questioned. Most of the time, we did things because we loved them. This is what is called being Healthy. Being happy from inside.
We become so busy doing things that we think we are supposed to let our most important relationship fall by the wayside only to wither, as well as the relationship with ourselves and this amazing journey we call life…
As we grew older, things changed for most of us. For many of us, our creativity was squashed; our thirst for fun and new activities and knowledge was lost. We no longer felt that we had time to enjoy the peace that comes with reflection and curiosity about the world and ourselves. We become so busy doing things that we think we are supposed to let our most important relationship fall by the wayside only to wither, as well as the relationship with ourselves and this amazing journey we call life… We can think of our personal attachment to our cellphones; we are constantly checking emails, social media and text messages. What use is your mobile phone when the battery dies?
The number of women-led businesses has catapulted in recent years with female entrepreneurs owning 39 percent of the 28 million small businesses around the United States according to a recent SCORE study.
If you are a woman experiencing depression, an anxiety disorder, or another mental health condition, you are not alone.
According to a recent survey by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, 29 million American women, or about 23 percent of the female population, have experienced a diagnosable mental health-related disorder in the last year alone. And those are just the known instances.
Experts say that millions of other cases may go unreported — and untreated.
I do not want women to waste years, and even decades, of their lives, being unhappy. Struggling with who they are and uncertain of what value they bring to the world. Dealing with body shame, disordered eating, unresolved issues from the past, self-loathing, and all the rest of the things I see women struggling with. Things I’ve struggled with.
You bring more to the world than you know. You are strong. You are beautiful.
And you are worthy. Deep inside you, there is a woman just clawing to get out. And you will love that person when she is released. Because you fought to become her.
We make time for our meetings, we make time for appointments because we know that it is important. In the same way, it is very important to find time for yourself to find what makes you happy. Be happy and stay fit.
Think… What makes you happy?
